Sarah Anderson is a an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Adult Internal Medicine at the Gipson Eastside Family Health Center, one of the Denver Health Community Health Clinics. At this clinic site, she provides pharmacotherapy consultations and patient care visits for resistant hypertension, diabetes, anticoagulation and medication management. This is also a rotation site for P4 students, PGY1 and PGY2 residents. Sarah's areas of interest include type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and transitions of care.

Sarah participates in research related to pharmacotherapy (cardiovascular disease, dyslipidemia, diabetes, anticoagulation) and transitions of care. She has published research articles, review articles, editorials, and continuing education materials.

Sarah is an appointed member of the ASHP Council on Therapeutics and past chair of the ACCP Adult Medicine PRN. She is co-chair of the University of Colorado Faculty Council Women's Committee. At the school, she serves on the Scholastic Advancement & Appeals Committee and as co-advisor to the Sigma Chapter of Phi Delta Chi. She is an alumni member of the school's Alumni Association Board. At Denver Health, Sarah serves as a member of the Diabetes Collaborative, the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Pharmacy Team, and the Anticoagulation Working Group. At the state level, she completed a 3-year term on the Colorado Pharmacists Society Board of Directors as a Member at Large and has served on the CPS membership, nominations, and social media committees. Sarah volunteers as a faculty preceptor at the student-run free clinic in Aurora (DAWN Clinic).
